I just wanted to say that the 2 installers who came yesterday were fantastic. They worked their socks off for 12 hour straight, and were really polite, considerate and professional. I’m very impressed with the service (and have already recommended CTD to a colleague who is looking for a new boiler install). I look forward to hearing from you/Campbell very soon about arranging to complete the installation of the pipe work to connect the radiators in the loft.

This is a short statement to confirm that CTD Services completed a commercial heating installation in the refurbished office building for this organisation.
The installation comprised of the following plant & controls:
• Wall Mounted Condensing Boiler
• Low Loss Header
• Three individual zones – 2 No. Space heating, 1 No. Hot water
• Twin head Grundfos Magna ‘A’ Rated, Variable Speed Twin Head Circulators (Heating load)
• Grundfos DHW Circulator (DHW Secondary Circulation)
• 210 Ltr. Unvented DHW Storage Cylinder
• Digital time and temperature control for both heating and hot water zones
• Steel panel convector type radiators
The system was installed within the given timescales allowed and in budget. Furthermore workmanship was beyond question and the minor snagging raised during final commissioning and ‘sign off’ was addressed and corrected without question.

I would not hesitate to recommend CTD to carry out heating installation works of this scale elsewhere and of course retain their services for future works within our organisation.

This is to confirm that Mr Campbell Dunion of CTD Plumbing and Heating attended my home in June 2014 to report on and repair a problem with loss of pressure to my Vaillant Solar Hot Water System.

The fault I experienced had beaten other companies who I had called upon but Campbell and his team displayed an in depth knowledge of the system and quickly diagnosed the problem as being the expansion vessel bladder filling with water.

The repair was quickly and efficiently concluded at a very fair price and my system has worked correctly ever since.

I have been so impressed by the overall professionalism of CTD that I am currently in negotiation to have a full Solar Thermal Heating System installed at my Daughters home and also at another large property that I own.

Solar Thermal Installation

Our house had been refurbished during 2008 and at that time a new hot water storage cylinder was fitted. The hot water cylinder was equipped with twin coils but only the lower coil, which was connected to the gas central heating boiler, was used initially.

In the spring of 2014, CTD were approached to install a solar thermal system to supplement the domestic hot water heating system. The work necessitated installing 2 solar panels on the south-facing roof and connecting these via a sealed pumped system to the secondary coil on the hot water cylinder. A controller was also installed which managed heating of the hot water. In brief, whenever the temperature difference between the solar panels and the water stored in the cylinder exceeded around 6degC, the solar pump would circulate hot fluid produced in the solar panels to the cylinder.

CTD installed the system in June 2014 over a period of 2 days. We were surprised and delighted at how much solar energy was available to heat our domestic hot water; in fact, the boiler was hardly used at all during the summer months.

We were pleased with the work that CTD carried out on our behalf; the plumbers and electricians were extremely competent and installed the various components in a neat and orderly way.

Based on our experience, we would have no reservations whatsoever in recommending CTD for similar installations.

We chose CTD after some friends recommended them. They gave us some very helpful advise about choosing the boiler that was right for us. Booking the work in was easy, quick and efficient. Having requested a full heating system installation from CTD we were not disappointed at any point. From the site visit from Campbell within 2 days of our request he was extremely professional, not just his advice of the system, but also his approach to advising on the entire installation process and alternative options. As the heating system was part of a larger renovation CTD were extremely accommodating with installation dates to fit in with our project and financial planning to ensure a smooth renovation was able to be completed, even returning after installation to test the system due to other contractors falling behind. Campbell and his team replaced an old regular boiler with a modern one and replaced two downstairs radiators. On the day Hal & Harry did a very good job and cleaned up after themselves. After the electrician had wired the boiler in, there was a problem with it but it was soon sorted out by Hal and his workmate. Would recommend CTD to anyone.
